Desktop Engineer – Front Office
An exciting opportunity with a global investment bank has arisen in their London office. Our client is seeking a work space services specialist to join an existing team to support their large and globally distributed user base. This role incorporates 1st and 2nd line support duties, with front to back office systems including trading floor support.
The successful candidate will work closely with external vendors, support teams, development groups and business users. You must have a proven track record of working with financial service products such as Reuters and Bloomberg.
Requirements:
• The ability to take ownership and escalate when necessary.
• Resolve issues via telephone or on-site desktop visits to challenging time frames.
• Competency in fault analysis, post completion and upcoming windows 10 migration projects.
• 3 years + desktop support experience
• Strong communication abilities, both written and oral
• Good knowledge of computer hardware
• Flexible and able to deliver installations and other projects when required.
• Experience working on the latest versions of Microsoft Windows
• Previous exposure to virtualisation technologies including Citrix
• Exposure to market data applications such as Bloomberg & Reuters
Trade floor experience would be beneficial.
